To better serve you, please follow these policies for any catered function to guarantee your specific order and time.
We request that your catering arrangements be made no less than 7 days in advance to ensure quality setup, service, and product availability for your event. For orders submitted with less than 7 days’ notice, approval will be necessary, and some requests may not be approved depending on product availability and staff scheduling.
We must receive your final guest count three working days (72 hours) before the event, or you will be charged for the last count received. In the event that you exceed your guest count guarantee, you will be charged for the actual number of guests served.
Groups are responsible for coordinating and reserving a location, and any tables or chairs needed. Please contact Sherri Sullivan, Receptionist & Facilities Scheduler at 214-346-8001, sullivans@smtexas.org.
Standard catering orders come with (tablecloths, flower arrangements, and disposable utensils, plates, napkins, cups for the buffet tables.)
Flowers for the guests’ tables will be an additional charge.
An additional cost will be added for events utilizing china and linens. Should you require additional linens, additional charges will apply.

If you are planning an event for an evening, Saturday, Sunday, please be sure to place your catering requests no less than two weeks in advance to ensure that proper staffing can be scheduled for your event.
Internal campus departments, student organizations, and affiliates will pay via Departmental Budget.
